Former Telstra Group CTO, Hakan Eriksson, has joined Australian network analytics technology startup CANOPUS Networks as non-executive Director.
“Network speed is not enough to describe the performance of an end user application, which is ultimately what the customer is interested in. CANOPUS can measure the performance of the Applications on the Network. As more and more Applications will start relying on the characteristics of 5G, of which speed is only one among others, like latency and slicing, this capability of CANOPUS technology will only grow in importance” said Eriksson.
CANOPUS Networks has been at the forefront of national discussion regarding fair and effective broadband measurement, claiming that its technology solution is capable of measuring Broadband Speeds and User Experience across hundreds of thousands of Australian homes for a fraction of the cost of the current solution used by the ACCC.
